Boosters' Objective
The Canfield Soccer Booster organization is unique in that we are ONE organization for both boys and girls branches of this sport, working together to promote CHS Soccer and assist in many ways to make each season a success. Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7PM in the CHS media center (subject to change). We invite and encourage each of you to attend and get involved.
For those parents and players new to the program, the following information will help to explain the financial function of the organization and how it relates to the school system. Financial support for the soccer program comes from several sources. The Canfield School District allocates dollars for the payment of referee fees, busing for away games, security for home games and equipment (if money is available). Historically, Canfield Soccer Club / FC Canfield also donate money to help support our program. Personal financial contributions are always accepted and the booster organization makes up the difference for all four teams.
The Canfield Soccer Booster organization takes on the financial responsibility for many necessary items for our teams. These items include uniforms, warm-ups, equipment, bags, etc. which are purchased on a rotating basis. The coaching staff makes the decisions each year regarding equipment needs for all teams. Annually, the boosters finance the year-end banquet for each player. Budget is discussed and voted upon in February/March of each year and is available to any booster member for review. To help our soccer program, team members and their families will be involved in fund-raisers such as clinics, camps, 50/50 raffles and concessions. In order to reduce the number of additional fund-raising events, we are asking that each family join the Canfield Soccer Boosters with an annual dues payment of $90.00 per player which will be applied toward the maintenance of all soccer teams for the 2009 season.
We again would like to take this opportunity to welcome all players and their families to the Canfield High School Soccer Program. Best of luck for the 2009 season!
